Movie #124 - A River Runs Through It

Title: A River Runs Through It

Director: Robert Redford

Release Year: 1992

Plot Summary: Two fly-fishing sons of a Presbyterian minister--one reserved, one rebellious--grow up in rural Montana.

Thoughts: I'm not really sure what I was expecting out of this movie, but it wasn't what I ended up getting. It was quiet, thought-provoking, beautifully photographed, and just sort of tranquil, maybe. I'm not really much for religious themes and messages, but to me that wasn't even the important part - it's a story about a family.

Rating (0-10): 6.8

Recommendations: I was surprised I ended up liking it well enough, but it's still not something I'd be terribly sad if I hadn't seen.
